About Gregg

I am passionate about communication and dialogue:

  1. My undergraduate degree focused on modern languages (French major, Russian minor, with some Spanish and German) and I am fluent in French.
  2. My Masters degree focuses on on inter- and intra-religious dialogue: helping people with very different perspectives learn that they have much more in common than they may think.
  3. My mediation training is complimented by a full specialization in family mediation, as well as minor specialization in “high conflict” mediations. In total I have over 370 hours of mediation training.

In addition to my formal education I have a personal understanding of the impact of separation: I was separated from my spouse for 20 months before reuniting with her. In terms of workplace conflict I participated in workplace mediations and saw first-hand the power of this approach to re-focus co-workers and restore productivity.

I also view conflict as generally positive. This is because I believe that conflict generally arises when individuals are passionate about a matter yet unable to understand or relate to the other party’s values, goals, beliefs or expectations about that same matter.

So as a mediator and facilitator I draw both from my formal training and from my personal experience when interacting with clients, and I empower clients to understand each other better and to be understood more fully as key to finding win-win solutions to their conflicts and disputes.
